Raise your hand if breakfast usually means quickly downing a bowl of cereal or grabbing last night’s leftovers. We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day but, ironically, it’s something we have little time for.

We made a grocery list of pantry staples for you to check out so you never have to skip breakfast again.

Oats are super budget-friendly, especially when bought in bulk. These grains are perfect for smoothies and breakfast bowls. Add toppings like fresh or dried fruits for added flavor.

No matter how you like them done, having eggs first thing in the morning is one of the best ways to get your protein fix. Always have a carton in the fridge and you’ll never be without an easy breakfast option.

Sliced Bread

Oh, the possibilities sliced bread brings! On mornings you need something to grab and go, a classic PB&J or a schmear will do the trick. On days you have time to sit down and enjoy breakfast, pop it in the toaster before topping it with eggs, mushrooms, ham, and cheese.

Yogurt has probiotics that keep tummies healthy and full. Create a breakfast bowl and top it with your favorite fruits, or pour the yogurt into a blender for a smoothie you can have on the go.

Kickstart your day and brew your favorite beans for extra energy in the morning. Stock up on whole beans and grind them right before brewing for a fresher tasting cup. But if you’re not fussy about your morning cup, pre-ground coffee is the more efficient option.
