Power Plant Mall recently joined forces with fashion design houses ARANÁZ and Rags2Riches to turn mall banners into a stylish tote bag. A few Rockwell moms got first dibs on The Rockwellist Tote and absolutely love it.

What’s not to love?

It’s an instant classic.

The woven carryall is evocative of stylish summer vacations. It has the elements of a classic ARANÁZ bag and an aesthetic that has become a trans-seasonal favorite among the stylish set.

Upcycled items often have the stigma of looking kitschy and shoddily reconstructed. The Rockwellist Tote is anything but kitschy or shoddy, and redefines upcycled goods. It’s simple, stylish, and works well with a weekday or weekend look.

It’s crafted with love.

The project was born from a vision to answer earth’s call for us to reduce waste. Aside from keeping old mall banners out of landfills, the project supports local artisans who make up Rags2Riches’ partner communities.

Canvas bags shopping bags don’t match your look? The Rockwellist Tote makes for a pretty stylish shopping bag. It fits quite a lot, too! If you’re going to carry two bags, might as well have a couple of head-turners. Its story also makes for a great conversation piece.
