What you forget to pack could easily make or break your trip. With the stress and excitement that surround holiday trips, admit it, it’s the little, seemingly insignificant things we tend to forget–like the ones listed below:
A Good, Reliable Pen. Just when you think you’ve packed everything, immigration forms remind you just how important it is to carry one of your own. Retractable, ballpoint ones are airplane safe (no in explosions!), they don’t smudge, and they don’t have loose parts to worry about.
Moisturizer. In between recycled air in airports and aircrafts and the change in weather (sunny or snowy), traveling is tough on the skin. Stock up on travel-sized moisturizers or hydrating facial sprays to keep you looking fresh in those holiday photos.
Lip salve. a.k.a. Multi-purpose miracle balm. Aside from keeping your lips moisturized and protected from the weather, a good salve could be first aid for sunburn and other skin irritations. It also doubles as product for for wayward hairs on your brows or even flyaway hair.
Snacks. Packing food may sound silly, but any seasoned traveler will tell you that when things take an unexpected turn during your trip, it’s best to have an stash of something to munch on. Go for something healthy–they save you from being hangry and from the tempting urge to pick up junk food.
Wipes. In our pursuit of traveling liquid-free, there has been a proliferation of handy travel wipe variants. Yup, they’re not just for germophobes anymore. Some wet wipes have insect repellant, sunblock, makeup remover, and even perfume in them!
